I know, its still early to preview the East, since many free agents still remain unsigned and there is still talk of some teams looking to make some major moves (ie/ McGrady to Detroit etc). However, with the start of summer league action underway, all of the major unrestricted free agents signed, and the Raps all capped-out, its time to look forward to the fall - to get a sense of where this team fits (as it is constructed right now). Rule # 1: stop the bleeding … check!
Rule # 2: fix the problem … uhmm, working on it.
So the Raptors won a game, I’m not going to say a must win, but it was. Can’t be losing to lesser teams at this point of the season. Those sorts of transgressions can only happen at the beginning of the year when things are being worked out/through; or at the end of the season, when things don’t matter, and Baston, Graham and Martin running wild on the court. The struggling Toronto Raptors (17-17) host the Philadelphia 76ers (14-21) tonight at the ACC. The Raptors have lost the first two games of 2008, but a visit from the 76ers could be a good recipe to get back in the win column. The Raptors are 2-0 versus the 76ers so far this year. Continue Reading
