One night after notching a win against the Sacramento Kings, the Toronto Raptors (12-17) settled into Portland to play the Trail Blazers (18-12), who had won 3 of their previous 5 games. The Toronto Raptors (8-10) came home from a disappointing west-coast road trip in which they lost all 3 of their games and their head coach Sam Mitchell. The Jay Triano Era of Raptors ball commenced on a sour note last Friday night in Utah. The Utah Jazz dismantled a lifeless Toronto squad with a 114-87 loss. Looking to come home and lick their wounds, Toronto was hoping to turn the corner on a disappointing start to December as they hosted the Northwest Division leading Portland Trail Blazers (14-7).
