Quickly- by a show of hands, how many Raptors fans thought that if they drew Detroit in the first round this year that they stood a chance of winning that series (put your hand down Chuck Swirsky- you’d think that they could beat God and Ditka in tennis match, and Chuck Norris in just about anything). The truth is…even the most staunch Raps fan must concede, that beating Orlando seemed really possible this year, as did Jersey last season…but Detroit…fuggeddaboutit. Continue Reading

Our condolences go to Sam Mitchell and his family. I wont be kicking and screaming about the game tonight. There was no way the Raptors were going to sweep the season series with the Spurs. Mitchell’s absence was definitely felt. The Raptors shot more jumpers than they usually do. Moon didn’t even dribble the ball in the direction of the basket. The Toronto Raptors (15-14) are 1-3 on their currently seven game road trip but they’ll be in tough when they visit the defending NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs (20-7). The Raptors will attempt to avoid dropping to the .500 mark, but it won’t be easy against the Spurs who have won six straight at home against Toronto. Continue Reading
