Raptors beat the Wolves 107-85 [32-24] - February 27, 2008

Posted on 27 February 2008 by Raps Fan

Once in a while, technology/internet take me to the brink of a mass-murder-suicide type rampage. Tonight was that night. My server had a hiccup, and I lost my notes while trying to save…damn wordpress…I should have upgraded to 2.3.x…&*^#$%@.

Anyways, the Raptors beat a team that they had no business losing too. Lame game, so I am sure my post was equally…lame. All is well..great…bring on Indiana. Forgive me, but I really couldn’t retype my thoughts/notes, I will get you guys Friday.

In the meantime, check out AltRaps, he is really on to something with his thoughts on a rotation.

Oh man. I feel for you.

All I got is a small gripe about the game. Namely, having CB4 out in most of the 4th with Hump, Rasho, and Primo (and even Bargs) sitting. He actually played more minutes that anyone on both teams. I was thinking what with what happened to Yao, maybe giving extra PT to some other guys would be a good idea if you are up by 20.

Did we trade small for big, only to go small ball?

Sat in a different part of the arena tonight. Don’t know if it was the different perspective (right above the DJs (note: should have brought a big stick and stabbed ‘em)) but man, I felt like I was watching knitting. There was more energy at your local gas station than in the building tonight, both from the fan perspective and the team.

Great news was they had that Filipino boys basketball squad back for halftime and the young guys were raining 3s again. Nothing gets you going like seeing 10 year olds hitting more 3s than the 3pt champion.

Agree with SiC. The mass subs so late was a bit of a surprise. Could have done it with 8min left and probably should have considering how the Raptors came out looking like a bunch of sloths.

Thanks for the props on the rotation idea. I would love to see/hope to see the passing of the starters gauntlet from TJ to Jose as a precusor to a settling of rotations. Soon.

    That’s why I use wordpress.com. No hosting/upgrade headaches.

There isn’t much to write about except that as SiC pointed out, why the hell did Bosh play so many minutes?

  4. Eddy Says:

the game was a bit of a snoozer (i committed the ultimate sin and napped through part of the the 3rd) but we won, so i wouldn’t call it lame :)

  5. SiC Says:

Yeah, guys, makes me nervous, when our lone all-star is getting bulk minutes in a blow out, specially playing a position where we (if not the coaches, at least us, the fans) would like to see more contributions

AltRaps > Filipino (10 yr. olds) boys basketball raining threes? Are they part of a kids/bantam league? shames me to hell, I can make maybe 3/10 — and that’s when I’m open (and I got no hops)!!!

  6. Raps Fan Says:

it almost seems like the games where bosh should be getting more minutes (close game or raptors are down), he doesn’t play as much, but in every single blowout, he is logging 37+ minutes. goes back to AltRaps suggestion of settling in on a rotation. can’t win in this league substituting pieces in and out like lego.

i like to think i’m a good basketball player, but the truth is i’m good at know what to do, but my lack of skills/talent/athleticism stop me from doing so.
