I was at this game, so forgive me for not having a play-by-play. Truth be told, I wasn’t really into this one to begin with. If the Raptors lost, I would have launched my philly cheese-steak (which used to be so much better at the ACC) into the Raptors bench. Milwaukee was on the second night of a back-to-back and aren’t playing well at all (for unknown reasons, they have a long athletic front court, with pretty decent guard/small forwards to boot).
Milwaukee hung in during the 1st quarter, but started to lose their grip on the game from the second onwards. I really don’t get why, as I said above, they have some nice pieces, and should give most teams, the Raptors included, match-up problems. A few points about this game, no surprises:
- Kris Humphries should have seen the floor in the 1st quarter.
- Darrick Martin got playing time in the 2nd quarter.
- Bargnani’s offense wasn’t grooving, but he did other things on the court with some decent defense, and rebounding. That’s two games in a row for the big guy.
- Moon had a second straight ho-hum game. We have seen him have a bad game, and come back and contribute well the next, but this is the first time (I can remember) that he has had two straight bad games.
- Delfino did a great job shadowing Redd on defense. Redd is really active, and Delfino was doing a great job of fighting through/around/under screens to be a pest for Redd.
- Good move trading Charlie V. Kid is good, but not TJ good…man the Raps miss TJ!
- Bosh had a quiet-big game.
- I know why the Raptors don’t rebound well. I made sure to pay special attention to it during the game (so much easier when you are in arena, you see everything)…are you ready? Wait for it…wait for it…they don’t box out. Surprise…seriously though, they don’t put a body on their man. You have to keep your man on your hip, and time the ball to grab a board. Not rocket science, but the Raptors have issue with that. Even Bosh is a

The worst game? I wasn’t at the game, but if i was i would have been one of the loudest fans chanting for pizza when the raps were trying to score 100. It may not have been the best game, but a Raptor win is what’s important, plus a little revenge against a team that whooped their ass before

TJ > CV? LOL. I’ll withhold judgment until TJ plays a healthy season (or just plain healthy), and if/when CV plays in a team that can actually utilize him.
You asked why the Bucks suck when they have a decent looking team on paper? That’s because they have a paper all-star in Redd (he can do only one thing, which is score–so can Jason Kapono). Look at the stat box and check out how many shots Williams/Redd have over Bogut/Yi/CV. On that note, CV plays less than 15 min. is 6-9 for 12 pts and 7 boards.
That’s either incredibly stupdid/bad coaching, or, they are riding Redds nuts so hard they are forgetting that they actually have a pretty decent front line. My other LOL moment is the Bucks have not tried playing CV, Yi, and Bogut together. They sorely need a Calderon-type player.
Good win for the Raps!!! I envy you watching at the game!!!

Yep the Bucks need a coach or a real PG
I enjoy Raptors games no matter what, it was tense free and even the fans at home should get pizza!

i enjoyed the game, the best part was screaming for pizza. there was a stretch where they were at 98 points, and just jacking shots and grabbing their own rebounds. that was the most excited the crowd got, lol. i’ll take a win, and blowouts usually aren’t very exciting, but it was good to exact some revenge on these guys.
