Good Job Raps Fan. Much better than the first time! I agree, a third point-guard seems problematic; it concerns me that Colangelo is even suggesting picking up a 3rd, because what does that say about the probability of TJ’s full recovery? I also agree that Mitchell may not be handling the Bargnani situation as well as he should, but to SMitch’s credit, he has done a great job with Jamario Moon. I fully agree with one thing Mitchell said about Bargnani - something to the effect that you don’t need to score to be effective. I think Bargnani needs to subscribe to Mitchell’s philosophy on playing D and rebounding. Until he does that and stops pouting about his struggles on offense will he be able to turn things around. I think the Raps are doing pretty good. Hopefully they step it up and win a round this year in the playoffs. My Moon my Man! Good one.

Good work man. To me the 3rd point guard means one of TJ and Jose is getting squeezed and if I’m a betting man, I’d say TJ is on the outs. I don’t think Roko’s coming here to play 3rd string, that’s for sure.

As for Bargnani, he’s……..wait, I shouldn’t waste my breath.

Well done Rapsfan. You made some good points about each player especially El Mago. He is playing better D, but the shots that were falling last season arent falling this year. He isnt a true centre and he gets matched up against every ohter teams BIG man. The transition to the NBA is tough on european players, especially when you go #1 overall, but i think Bargs needs a mentor. I know that there has been talk about BC bringing someone in to mentor Bargs, but I’ve been saying that since they drafted him. The Bucks brought in Toni Kukoc to help Bogut adapt to the NBA and it worked out great. I dont even know who they could get, but there is got to be someone out there to help out the youngster.
I’d have to argue with you about the raps bringing in a point guard. If TJ isnt going to be a 100% then we’ll need some sort of back up that isnt Juan Dixon. There are free agents that could be signed that wouldnt take away from any assets. guys like Boykins and Payton are available or even Stoudamire is/when he is bought out. But the Raps do need a big man that can score downlow. It would help Bosh a lot and create better shots for our perimeter scorers. I was watching the heat/cavs game and the heat announcers were talking about how much Shaq misses Kapono. Shaq is a much better player when he can pass out of double teams to players who can shoot the rock. if TO had another option downlow it would only increase the % of our shooters.

Great job. You have twice as many books behind you than I have read in my life, including schoolbooks.

Your little laugh after saying “Andrea Bargnani” says it all, doesn’t it?

Third PG: I’ve always been one to piss and moan about our lack of rebounding, but if you consider Jose is a restricted free agent and TJ seems as stable as the stock market, signing a third PG might not be a bad move. I really don’t think you’ll see both TJ & Jose here next year (even if they are, who knows how long they’ll be on the floor before they are gasping like fish out of water). I think Damon would bring some veteran help to this team, but I figure Boston will get him.

Give me a shout when Kapono starts earning his $$$, would ya? Thanks.

    RSFL,

    Scott.

don’t let the books fool you, i haven’t read them all…most are for show.

it’s not that i’m against a 3rd pg, i’m just against trading one of our assets for a pg we wont need once ukic get’s here, that can could have got us another piece of the puzzle that we need aka a rebounding big and/or a scoring/slashing three.

    Good Work on the VideoBlog!

I so with you on the PG. We can’t jump the gun yet. I hurts, but I we have to play the TJ senerio out.

You seem like your all about how much ‘heart’ a player have. If you got heart you can achieve tons beyond your skills!!! Ture, so ture!

PS….. it’s not Dirk No-wit-zki….. they pronounce “W’s” as “V’s” in Germany. I’ve been there and know first hand. It’s Dirk No-Vit-zki. Most of the NBA has got this guy’s name wrong.

Same with Volkswagen. It was invented in Gremany.

    We say VW (Veee-Dub-Bow-U).
    Germans say VW (Foul-Veee)

    Pretty messed up, I know…..

  15. Raps Fan Says:

heart is the most important thing as far as i’m concerned. the minimum requirement to play pro sports is skill/talent. heart is what seperates you from the rest of the pack, and wins you games/championships.

Hey man, nice job on the vid. I’m half with you on Bosh. I agree that he has really improved his work with his back to the basket, which is an important part of his game. He has also been making quicker decisions, which makes him that much more dangerous. I’m not with you when you say that he isn’t one of the upper echelon players in the league and that he can’t carry the team. I think the Bosh-Jose or Bosh-TJ combo has shown that they are able to carry the Raps when they need to. Overall, you don’t want just two guys carrying your team anyway.

Good work (but maybe break this into separate vids)!

  21. Raps Fan Says:

yea, i was thinking of breaking it into two parts, just got lazy.

i think he is somewhere in between what we think of him. he has been able to carry this team to wins against teams in the same class, but not better teams. playoffs remain to be seen.
