There is excitement in Raptor nation today as the defending Atlantic Division Champions kick off the 2007-08 NBA season at home against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Raptors ended the pre-season with two impressive wins against the Washington Wizards (98-64) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (111-78). With their new found success from last season comes great expectations, but it looks like management added the right players while keeping the core from last season. Continue Reading

I am really happy to announce that we do have a winner for our opening day contest. The winner has been contacted, and as soon as he/she (can’t tell by the name) responds, and sends a pic, I will stick it up. Continue Reading

Virtus Lottomatica Roma guard Roko Ukic is giving the Toronto Raptors options at the point guard position. In a pre season game against the Raptors, Ukic was impressive scoring 10 points and adding 9 assists in a 93-87 loss. The Raptors drafted Ukic out of the second round in 2005 and have kept a close eye on him since then. There is some dispute on whether or not he’ll be able to play the “nba” style, but there have always been question marks when it comes to European players playing in North America. Continue Reading
