The Wolves and Celtics finally agreed to a trade that gutted the Celtics bench (Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff, Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes and Sebastian Telfair) in return for the 10 time all-star Kevin Garnett. With Ainge’s earlier trade landing Ray Allen, there was definitely a push to win now. The Indiana Pacers declined the Raptors offer to restricted free agent forward Maceo Baston today, making the 31 year old the newest Toronto Raptor. Last week the Raptors offered Baston a two year contract worth around 3.8 million. Baston will become a two time Raptor and join former Maccabi Tel Aviv teammate Anthony Parker. Continue Reading

After the signing of Jason Kapono last week, Bryan Colangelo’s next move is going to have to involve a big man with mad rebounding skills. The problem is that there isn’t too much money to work with for UFA’s, which leaves a very small talent pool to choose from. This off-season is different from off seasons of the past for one main reason: the Raptors are winners and considered contenders.
