Raptors Whip Wizards

Posted on 31 March 2007 by Raps Fan

After sitting on the bench for all but a few seconds in the game, MoPete responded by hitting a ridiculous shot at the buzzer to tie it up, and send the game into overtime, where the Raptors stole one from the Wizards. Rasheed Wallace sent MoPete a fruit basket welcoming him to the club.

Probably one of the best games I have watched in my life. If the Raptors didn’t win, I might have went on the mission to lock Mitchell into a room, and watch tape after tape of player substitutions. I can understand having your players earn minutes, but at this point of the season, with the injuries and all but assuring the Atlantic crown, maybe adjusting the rotation isn’t that bad a thing. Having Bosh average 84 minutes a game for the last few games might wear him down going into the playoffs…just a thought.

The Joey Graham experiment finally realized results. He has kept his season streak alive by having a really good game every 9 outings. Juan Dixon has been rejuvenated by the Raptors. He has yet to see a shot he doesn’t like.

Is Luke Jackson going to get any playing time? I want to see what he can do. Hopefully he will see some time on Sunday against Charlotte.

That fruit basket better have had some onions in it, cause I dont think the Swartz would have it any other way. That shot was unreal. Unfortunatley i wasnt able to watch the game, but I was watching the ticker and it was 106-101 Wizards with 7 seconds left, then when I checked it later on it was 123-118 Raps. I just thougth to myself “what the hell happened?” Then it took about 45 mintues before I could see highlights of yet another MoPete circus shot. These kind of wins make spending 3 hours of your day watching ball worth it. There is nothing worse then planning to watch the Raps play a good game and then they stink it up, but this hasnt happened too much this year.

Here is Jackson’s stat line for the game against the Bobcats: 2 minutes, 0-1 from the field, 0 rebounds, 0 assists and 1 personal foul. I dont know if jackson will be able to play come playoffs, cause I remember a few years back when a player signed after the trade deadline and when the playoffs came he wasnt able to be in the line up. does anyone know anything about this?

Jackson finally got on the court, and put up a nasty shot. I don’t know if they are going to keep him. I suspect they will, for insurance, but that might be it for him getting any playing time, unless the Raptors start pillaging the competition

As far as keeping him from the playoffs, I am pretty sure he qualifies, because he was not playing in the NBA (signed from the NBDL). Much like when the Bulls signed Brian Williams (Bison Dele, whatever the hell his name is) back in the day for that playoff run.

That was totally a game that makes swallowing bad losses to crappy teams easy to handle.

I am dying to see Luke Jackson get into a game. Just to see that sweet lefty stroke, I’m not even sure how much is remaining on his 10-day.

I think he has 3-4 hours left on that 10-day. I think he will get resigned for the rest of the season though. The Raptors need another body on the bench just in case.

I will hit you up later about links and what not Nelson, thanks bro.
