The Raptors have traded underachieving swingman Fred Jones to the Trailblazers for guard Juan Dixon.
Jones signed a multi year contract with the Raptors in the off season, but has struggled this season. Dixon, a former first round draft pick in 2002, can play both the point and shooting guards and will add depth to Toronto’s backcourt.
It’s hard to say whether or not the Raptors are done dealing yet. The NBA trade dealine ends at 3 pm EST.

i don’t know why portland would trade dixon for jones. i will take it though. i called it in the summer that jones wouldn’t be a big piece. dixon should fit in nicely with this team, dude can slash, and is a better outside shooter. a good move to shore up the bench.

dixon had a sweet night last night. 9 points in a losing cause, but still, he is contributing. could become a viable 8th or 9th man.
