I must admit, that for the first time years, I am not up to date with college players, aside from the big names, going into the draft. I have no opinion on who the Raptors should draft, nor am I going to venture one. This post is strictly an a hindsight look at what we have done in drafts past. I have been meaning to go back, and look at all the draft picks that the Raptors had over the years. My findings are surprisingly very positive. This organization, for the most part, has been very successful at picking talent.

We had a few blunders, Rafael Araujo and Alex Redojevic being the worst of them, but the others were either high first rounder’s with no real hope of being solid players, or got traded for players that got us to the second round of the playoffs (good picks in my book). It is scary at some of the players that not only the Raptors slept, but the league in general. How Gilbert Arenas, Carlos Boozer, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli slipped ot where they went, is beyond me. I still get pissed off at the Rafael Araujo situation. Stay tuned for an article about that whole episode, I am working on it as I even write this half assed post.
